Wet Sandcastle
Officially downgraded. The heavy food has been slowly taking it's toll, gradually tightening a knot in my gut. But the thing that finally put me over the edge was a pizza from Dominos. Kind of ironic.
As a southern boy I never thought I'd say this, but: "Enough with the butter". It's on everything. And I'm definitely not getting my fiber and veggies, even though I'm trying to do more veg (as they like to call it) options. And I've been hitting the granola bars and oatmeal Jen packed for me.
So anyways I feel pretty great to have made it a week on almost all Indian food, and I'm gonna continue it this week, but just try to pace myself a little more. Less butter chicken and garlic naan, more uh, ... i gotta figure that out still.

dominos will knock anyone down a notch no matter the continent you're in-
on?
in. definitely.
in continent.
In regards to da butter, from Wikipedia: "ghee is composed almost entirely of saturated fat." It is in everything.
and now i'm composed entirely of saturated fat
you are right. absolutely everything has a pat of ghee on top. Tomato soup- butter, lentils- butter, naan- butter, butter chicken- extra butter.
I'm actually shocked you've made it this long. It's not going to get any easier for you going forward...there's no escaping the lack of veggies and saturated fat dude.
We got a broccoli stir fry tonight that was pretty decent. i might have to hit that up a lot 'cause that is about he only thing I've found.
no chickpeas? spinach dishes? i'm sure they'll still be butter heavy, but at least you might get some fiber.
and have you enjoyed the pickle? it took me a while to try that stuff, but they seem willing to pickle and spice anything.
Keep the cipro and immodium handy. Once you start down the path it can turn disaterous in a hurry.
